With the blessings of Their Holiness Pujyasri Sankaracharya Swamijis of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, a unique cultural exhibition and a heritage photo gallery is functioning at Vedal, just 5 kms from Kanchipuram on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway (NH4).

Animated Dolls Exhibition

The Cultural Exhibition is one of its kind, depicting the great epics—Ramayana, Mahabharata, Krishna Leela, and Sri Sankaracharya Charitram—in the form of animated dolls.

Craftsmen from North India were specially engaged to create this marvel, which showcases our rich epics in an innovative, educational way that is highly attractive to both children and adults.

Photo Gallery & Instruments

Explore a vast photographic archive containing rare pictures of the Guruparampara: Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji, Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji, and Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji.

A dedicated section hosts a wide array of musical instruments sourced from different regions across India, making it a must-visit center for music enthusiasts and pilgrims visiting Kanchipuram.

Goshala & Nakshatra Vanam

The center also features a vast **Goshala** conserving several native (Desi) cow breeds.

Adjacent to the Goshala is the **Nakshatra Vanam**, a unique botanical garden housing a collection of 27 trees corresponding to the 27 Nakshatras (birth stars) of Vedic astrology.

Helpful Notes to Visitors

Location Details:

Situated on NH4 (Chennai-Bengaluru Highway), just before the turn to Enathur and 4 km before Kanchipuram (while traveling from Chennai). Look for the L&T engineering unit just before the center and a Bharat Petroleum pump immediately after.

Timings:

The center is open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Parking & Tips:

Ample parking space is available (even for buses). Tourists can plan to visit this centre especially during the temple break timings in the afternoon (12:00 PM to 4:00 PM).
